How does the home service work?

A Phlebotomist, a person who takes blood, will visit you at home at the scheduled appointment time of your choice, to collect the blood sample for testing.

Can I schedule multiple tests in one visit?

Yes, it doesn't matter how many forms you have, multiple tests can be done during one visit for your convenience.

Up to 4 bottles NOT the number of tests is included in the price, regardless of what area you live in.

If unsure, please ask.

What happens with the bloods/results?

All blood samples are deposited in a laboratory within a hospital.

All results will go back to whomever was requesting the tests, so usually either your G.P or a Consultant.

How can I book an appointment?

You can either telephone, text, email or book an appointment through our Contact Us page.

If no-one is available to answer the telephone,  please leave a message or text and someone will get back to you ASAP.

Do I need to fast?

This depends on the type of blood test. If unsure check with the person requesting the blood test.

Fasting means you can have nothing to eat or drink 10-12 hours before your appointment. Only drink plain water.

If, for health reasons,  ie a Diabetic, confirm fasting requirements with a Doctor and ensure to book an early appointment.

Do I need a form?

Yes, this is VERY important. The information on the form tells the person taking the sample what bottles to use and also tells the laboratory what tests are needed to ensure accurate results.

The form will either be green, handwritten, with a plastic bag attached, these are the old style forms,

or a white form, printed with all your information and bar codes containing all the test information. These forms have sticky labels that we attach to each bottle. We provide the bags for your blood samples.

It is important to point out, that this is purely a Phlebotomy Service and does not offer any medical advice, medication, diagnosis or interpretation of results.

We are not involved with the testing, diagnostics or screening of samples.  The interpretation of results will need to be taken up with a Medical Practitioner.

WE DO NOT SUPPLY NEEDLES FOR PATIENTS OWN USE.

The needles we use are solely used for the collection of blood samples.
